Timelines in EQ2

In EQ2, certain series of quest lines, or tradeskill areas, or leveling dungeons, or other events that you can progress through are known as timelines.  Here are links to some of the key timeline info.

Deity Timelines
By choosing and doing a series of 5 quests in a deity, you get a deity pet (after the 3rd quest) which gives you some nice buffs, and you get access to some deity pells. The spells vary from one deity to another so pick a deity that will have useful spells for how you play.

Heritage / Signature Quest Timelines
Heritage quests are all heroic in nature but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't solo them or do them with another player. They are more difficult to complete than normal quests. The rewards for Heritage quests are famous items from the original Everquest game. Signature Quests are similar in difficulty but the reward items are unique to EQII.

Dungeon Timeline
The Dungeon timeline shows the order in which you can adventure in dungeons for leveling up either with a group, a partner, or solo.

Soloing Timelines
Soloing Timelines are groups of quests for leveling solo or with a partner. Many of the quest lines tell a story and offer progressive rewards.

Language Timelines
Different Languages which are used in EQ2 and how to obtain them.
Tradeskill Timelines
Information on leveling tradeskills and specific quest lines for certain ones.

Harvesting Timeline
Where to harvest the tier 1 through tier 10 materials for tradeskills, or leveling up harvesting skills. Or maybe you just want to get rich selling materials!

Book Timeline
If you are a book collector then this is the timeline for you! Although I have discovered there are a quite a lot more books to be found, quested, or purchased than are on this list.

Collections Timelines
Collections are built by picking up little collectible items from the ground all over the world. They look like glowing dots. When a collected group is complete, it can be handed in at any major city to the collector for a reward.

Evla's Corpse

Evla died from waiting so long for Banastre in Neriak. She might have thrown herself down in a pit.

New House in Neriak

Come visit Evla's new house at 8 Indigo Road in Neriak. She has a portal to her private grotto, which has portals to Ladyvina's Felwith Mansion, and Marvela's Island.

Evla and Banastre Compared

See?  I havn't played THAT much more than Banastre!

Nothing new to see here:

Does this mean Evla is smarter and Banstre is stronger?
Actually I think it means they compliment each other well.

Solo/Duo Dungeons and Instances

This is the EQ2Wiki list of soloable/duo instances.

Solo/Duo Instances

These are mostly newer instances, added in various live updates. They tend to have an event inside, and most of them have some kind of access quest that must be done the first time. These are some of the most rewarding solo content in EQ2. You can take 1-2 friends inside with you. Some have short lockout timers after you leave.

These instances require that you have paid for the appropriate adventure pack or expansion pack. Aside from that requirement, they tend to be worthwhile, easily on par with the solo/duo instances listed above. Most of them have a lockout timer after you leave.

Solo/Heroic Instances

The following instances are mostly smaller and lower-quality than the instances listed above. (Sullon Mines is an exception; it is large and very worthwhile.)
Each time you enter, you get to choose between the solo version or the heroic version. Any size of group can enter either version. Each time the instance is used, the entrance disappears, then reappears a few minutes later somewhere in the same area. There is no lockout timer.
Monsters do not respawn in any of these instances. The named bosses are very rare in the solo versions (probably 1 in 5 chance), but are much more common in the heroic versions. Otherwise, the mob layouts are identical in the heroic and solo versions.
(quality of these instances is rated out of 4 stars)

Dungeons with Solo Content

The following shared dungeons have noteworthy sections set aside for solo content. Descriptions of their solo areas will be added soon.
